   Each petal is cut to shape leaving a little tip on the end that is going to be attached to the stem, a thin piece of reed. After they're shaped they go in the dye, are dried and then the tedious part starts, they are placed on the stem and wrapped one at a time, inside to the outer petals with a thin thread till they're attached to the stem. afterward they wrap the stem including the thread with a sliver of palm attaching the leaf and giving the stem it's color.
