Back                                                    A letter to George Bush

   Mr. President,
How dare you? How dare you call the brave men and women who fought for our country, who died or were wounded fighting for your lies, how dare you call them a "comma in the pages of history?"
I was appalled when I read what you said. I've been appalled at things you have said in the past. I've been appalled at your arrogance, at the way you destroyed the respect my country was held in by the rest of the world, and the way you've talked about anybody that disagreed with your self-righteous opinion. But never, never, have I been more appalled then I was at that statement. You say that anyone who disagrees with your misguided policy in Iraq is not supporting the troops who are fighting and dying for your blunders. We support the troops, they are serving our country. It's you we don't support. You, who call them "commas in the pages of history". Ask their families if they think of their loved ones as just commas.
Yours truly,   Alvin F Grove.  (patriot)
