About your Mail: Back
I recently received a notice from the Post Office, I'm sure most of us did but a lot of you may have discarded it without reading it. It was information about having your mail held at the Post Office while you are away. I'm sure the Post Office won't mind me reminding you of what they said, so I'm taking the liberty of posting it in full below.
Going away? Go online!
Skip the visit to the post office.
Now you can reach us online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to tell us the dates you'd like a temporary hold on mail delivery. It's fast, easy, and secure.
To hold mail, just go to
www.usps.com/deliveryservices, then enter the information requested, and your mail will be held at the post office while your away. Your mail can be redelivered on the date you choose, or picked up by you when you return-which ever you prefer.
To arrange redelivery, just go to
www.usps.com/deliveryservices, then enter information from the notice your carrier left you when delivery was first attempted, then let us know the date redelivery would be more convenient. Your mail will arrive as requested--no trip to the post office needed.
