Finally the Birds: Back

I didn't have high expectation when we went into the bird park, after all we had just seen Komodo Dragons & a cute little girl with a huge snake necklace. I was to be pleasantly surprised.
First, if you want to solicit a response, from a stranger with a parrot sitting on her head, just make a face and say yuck. I did and she thought of her clean car then her hair. I had to laugh when I told her I was just kidding but I wouldn't recommend wearing a bird for a hat.
I had recently had an experience with a monkey (See Monkey Forest.) taking a leak on my back.
	Left: Notice the Macaws are on my shoulder not my head. I didn't forget the monkey, plus it would be hard for them to sit on a bald head. Right: Hay! check out my new haircut. These birds are like peacocks except their plumage is on their heads instead of being a tail.
Bali Bird Park has some of the most beautiful birds in a gorgeous setting. Greater Birds of Paradise, Victoria Crowned Pigeons, Black Palm Cockatoos not to mention a large variety of Macaws, Lesser Birds of Paradise. and many others to numerous to mention.
They also have Flying Fox & what has to be one of the best soccer playing birds in the world. I mean this bird has feet you wouldn't believe. It's a Cassowary and comes from Irian Jaya. We enjoyed the two parks so much that the next time I went to Bali we made a special trip to the parks so that Noyman's daughters could enjoy them as well. They weren't as brave as the girl from Australia. In fact they didn't even want to stay in the enclosure with those snakes. They did however thoroughly enjoy themselves. We spent almost an entire day there. We stopped for dinner on the way home & since we had breakfast on the way there I guess we did spend the entire day.
