Shortly after 9/11 Christy Whitman made a televised announcement that the air near the collapsed twin towers was safe to breath. She said she got the order to make the announcement from higher ups. Since she was the head of the E.P.A. and held a cabinet level post the only ones "higher up" were the White House.

We now know that not only wasn't all the information in but that which was showed just the opposite. Now five years later thousands of people are suffering the affects of breathing that air.

Mount Sinai Medical Center released the results of a study showing seven of every 10 ground zero responders suffered lung problems.

Just how many false statements are we willing to forgive.   Bill Clinton lied to protect his family from an indiscretion and for that the Republicans impeached him. Would you please tell me which lies are worse, lies that lead a country to war, lies that put the health and even lives of out fellow citizens in jeopardy or lies about sex?

RIGHT. The hell with the health of the heroes, keep quiet and just let them suffer, don't bring out the lies Christy Whitman told them. Don't investigate the charges. Don't pay them restoration or their health bills. Hell we're not sick, why should we worry about them????
