In this photo I was showing the proximity of the monkey to the boy. If I was taking a photo of the boy I would have used a vertical format. I should have used fill flash or had Nyoman reflect light on the boy.

| I've actually approached people while on vacation and at other times to recommend that | ||
| that they try using a vertical format when taking portraits. I even saw a girl take a photo of | ||
| the statue of Liberty using a horizontal format, something I've done but with a reason, I | ||
| wanted to show a ferry full of tourists landing on Liberty Island with the statue in the photo. | ||
| when I questioned her about it, she turned the camera & remarked that now she could get | ||
| the top of the statue in the photo. Sometimes when we are in a hurry we forget the simplest | ||
