I've been thinking about Gift Certificates. I don't like them, I never liked getting them. When you receive a gift certificate you have to use it in a certain store, restaurant, etc. I may not like the restaurant or the products in the store, plus I have to spend enough to make sure I use it all, or I loose money. If I go over I have to make up the difference.

What's wrong with good old Cash, Money, you know the green paper we carry in our wallets. If I get cash I can spend it anywhere I want to. Hell I can buy a hotdog and bank the rest if that's what I want.

I recently read an article about a guy who had two $50. Gift certificates that were no good because he held them too long and the company went bankrupt. Most of the time gift certificates have exploration dates. I never saw a exploration date on the bills I've had. Why should I have to eat out until I'm ready.
