Out of George Bush's own mouth:                                     Back

1.  “We can’t wait for a smoking gun that could come in the form of a mushroom cloud”  If John F. Kennedy felt that
way during the Cuban Missile crisis we would have been in a nuclear war with the Soviet Union & (The day after.)
     would have become a documentary.
2. “The condition is such that some people feel they can attack us there. I say to them, bring it on.”  Well they did.

3. “The hand of God is guiding the affairs of our nation.”  If God is leading our nation & George Bush is defining the

agenda. Does that make him a prophet? Or does he feel it does?  I don’t think God really wants War, Aids patients
to suffer & die, our envieronment to be destroyed, and I don't think he wanted the wealthiest of us to receive most
of the benefits, since his son said that the meek shell inherit the Earth.

John Kerry has made some mistaken comments.

He said. "I actually voted for the bill, before I voted against it." and went on to something else instead of explaining that there were two bills. The first, the one he voted for was to be paid for by taking back the tax break for the rich. The second had no provisions on how it was to be paid for.
Later he used the word sensitive when referring to terrorism. He meant he would be sensitive to our allies but the use of that word was used by Dick Chaney to show weakness even though George Bush had used the same word when talking about how "We have to be sensitive when using our strength." Not an actual quote but I was only explaining the context in which it was used by Bush.

Now let's look at some of the other things that came out if George Bush's mouth.
l "Were making the right decisions to bring the solutions to an end." 4/2001
2. To Iraqis "You're free and freedom is beautiful and, you know, it'll take time to restore chaos & order, but we will."
Well they have chaos but we still haven't restored order.
3. "The war on Terror involves Saddam Hussein because of the nature of Saddam Hussein, the history of Saddam
Hussein, and his willingness to terrorize himself."  Jan. 2003
4."The Power that be, well, most if the power that be, sits right here." June 2001
5. "I am mindful not only of preserving executive powers for myself, but for predecessors as well."  Jan. 2001
Both of the above were probably Freudian slips
6. "Border relations between Canada & Mexico have never been better."  Sept 2001
7. "You teach a child to read and he or her will be able to pass a literacy test."  Feb 2001
8. "For a century and a half now, America & Japan have formed one of the great and enduring alliances of modern
times. From that alliance has come an era of peace in the Pacific.   Did he forget about World War II.
9. "Too many OB/GYNs aren't able to practice their, their love with women all across this country."
10. "You're working hard to put food on your family."  Jan. 2000
11. "I doubt that you can win it," Bush replied Monday, when Matt Lauer of NBC's "Today" show asked him about the
war on terror. It doesn't take super intelligence to know he was right. The only thing we can do is suppress it &
make it harder for terrorist to get to a target. Even if we destroyed all the terrorist alive today, more would show up.
They might be born in the Mid East they might be born in Europe, they might even be born here but they would be
born. They might follow Islam, they may be Catholic, or even Atheists but they would still be terrorists. His
mistake was that the next day he took it back and said we could win. Is he living in a fantasy world?
12.  Talking about Vladimir Putin "I looked into his eyes and came away with a reassuring sense of his soul." Yah! right.
Now he (Putin) is trying to consolidate power by ending direct elections & setting up a system that will allow him to
nominate regional governors who will endorsed by local legislators.  He means rubber stamped.
13. 2nd 2004 debate: "I had to make the decision to destroy more life, so we continue to destroy life -- I made the decision to balance science and ethics." I really don't think that is what he meant to say.

The question I have is why, as the Republicans do constantly, don't the Democrats jump on Bush when he misspeaks?
Could it be that Democrats have more honor then Republicans?
