Back Ready to lead on day one?
I keep hearing about being ready at day one. This may or may not be as important as everyone makes it out to be.
I remember another young senator of whom it was said was to inexperienced to be president. His name was John Fitzgerald Kennedy.
I also remember how when his military advisors told him he had no choice but to bomb Cuba during the Missile Crisis, he instead put up a blockade around the island and thus averted a nuclear war. I compare that to a man who was said to have all the experience needed then sat in a classroom full of kids reading "my pet goat." when we were attacked and then took us into a war we didn't have to fight and that did just the opposite of what we needed to do.
I think good judgment is more important then experience, especially if that experience is clouded with mistakes.
