Sita sees a golden deer and asks Rama to get it for
|

| her.
He refuses but she pleads and he gives in, and
|
|
| leaving
Laksmana to protect her, goes after the deer.
|
|
|
Later they hear a scream and Sita thinking Rama is in
|
|
| peril
tells Laksmana to go to his aid. Laksmana,
|
|
| fearing
a trick, doesn't want to leave her but when
|
|
| Sita
tells him he is a coward and is really afraid to go,
|
|
| he
storms off to find Rama. With both men gone
|
|
| Ravana
takes the opportunity to take Sita captive
|
|
| and
spirit her away.
|
|
| Rama
returns to find Sita gone and the hunt for her
|
|
| begins.
