On the road, somewhere in Georgia
April 1976
Getting to know each other
Let's take off our shoes,
walk in the grass,
it's still wet with dew,
cool,
clean.
.
As the sun gets high
the day warm
we'll find a stream
rushing down from a mountain
and let the fish play with our feet.
Lay back under a shady tree
and get to know each other
or maybe we'll just count the butterflies
and let the summer teach us
one another's secrets.
